Paper weight-2

Paper weight is one of most important items in Chinese stationery. This is a item to display what the state of that artist. Over last few hundreds years, we used various material to form the paper weight. Wooden is most comment seen in the market. (occasionally might see them curved with some beautiful pattern or picture to decorate the pieces) Gold and various gem stones were used in the wealthy family. Famous artists will go out their way to search a pairs of unusual paper weight for their collections. They might have more than one pair and used them according to the situation. Of cause, they might come in different sizes or shades. But the base of this paper weight have to be flat, to work as a weight to weight down the paper and enable to flatting the paper as well.
