Paper weight-standard

Paper weight is one of most important items in Chinese stationery.  Over last few hundreds years, various material were used to form the paper weight. Wooden is most comment seen. (occasionally might see them curved with some beautiful patterns or picture to decorate the pieces) Artists will go out their way to search a pairs of unusual paper weight to add into their collections. They might have more than one pair at time, used them according to the situation. Of cause, they might come in different sizes or shades. Most importantly, the base of this weight must be flat, allowing to weight down the paper and flatting the paper as well.
