QiLin (KiRin)

QiLinQui (Jap. Kirin) or Chinese Unicorn has the power to walk on water and fly in the sky. Their job is bringing in joy and wishes. It is sometimes called the Dragon Horse, and is one of the four great mythical animals of China, the others being the Dragon, Phoenix and Tortoise. Chinese writer will describe: it has a body of a horse, covered with fish scales, has two deer horns bent backwards, Oxen tail, pig nose, wolf forehead and the hooves of a horse. They might be able to spit fire to protect their loved ones. The male is called Qi and the female is Lin.
