QiLin (Jap. Kirin) or Chinese Unicorn is able to walk on water and fly above the clouds. Their job is to bring joy and grant wishes. Chinese writers describe it as – having the body of a horse covered with fish scales, two deer’s’ antlers bent backwards, the tail of an ox, a pig’s snout, nose, a wolf’s brow and horse’s hooves. If necessary. they can breathe fire to protect their loved ones. The male is called Qi and the female is Lin.
